Preparing for our Hawaii Trip

Every year we try to take a vacation to a tropical destination.  Somehow we always decide on Hawaii. It is fine by me, but we do have dreams of visiting places outside of the country.  In March we will be staying at the Honua Kai for 10 days of relaxing, fun and adventure.  We have never been at this time of year and are hoping to go Whale Watching and just chill out far away from the cold and rain.

One // Two // Three // Four // Five // Six // Seven

I have been doing some shopping online since the trip is about a month out.  I tend to lean towards neutral colors and natural textures and I feel like the olive and red add a subtle pop of color for some interest.

One // This sunhat is from Nordstrom.  I have not tried it on yet, but feel like it would be the perfect item to add for the beach and can carry it through spring and summer.  Also a plus that it has great reviews.  This one is going in the cart.

Two // This top from ASTR is so pretty.  The quality and fit is great.  I am so happy with this and can't wait to pair it with jean shorts or a maxi skirt.

Three // This Olive Green Bodycon Dress from Forever 21 is simple and can be accessorized a number of different ways.  Since the price was right I also ordered it in black and navy.  Such a great staple. The fit is tight as most Bodycon styles are, so I decided these would be goal dresses. I can wear them now, but would feel more comfortable losing a few pounds.

Four // This Red Maxi Dress from Showpo really caught my eye.  I came across it recently and keep thinking about how cute it is and how pretty it will look on a date night out in Maui.  I think I must have this.

Five // These Ray Ban Aviators are a staple.  The brown gradient tones are so versatile I find myself wearing them often.  These go with everything.

Six // This Sapelo Tote is a splurge, but looks very nice for a tropical getaway or any beach occasion.  I may do more searching for other price points to see what else is out there, but I am sure this one is a winner.

Seven // These Natural Majorca Sandals from Tom's are a nice casual shoe.  They are versatile enough to be worn day or night. I would say their comfort is pretty good.  I wouldn't go walking around all day in them, but can see myself wearing them to lunch or dinner depending on what we have planned.

Hope you enjoyed viewing some of my upcoming vacation faves!  Come back for more because I have so many things to share.
